What a jinjang day!

Talking to people whom I don't know. Now I thought I was ok with this, making the small talk, and then BOOM!! Hit a big ass speed breaker and the silence is deafeningly silly. I mean, why can't I talk to anyone. Any average joe, macha, machi or even hot babe? Haih....gotta improve on this la. While the people who know me think I'm loud and crazy and all that, I think the people who don't know me think I'm kinda stuck up and all. Perception....it melts the ice, or does it really?

Work was interesting today. Got a big pile of it to complete by I don't know when and lo and behold, the servers that store all our work goes down. There was this freak storm at our place. The wind was howling away, trees were swaying this way and that, and the some temporary wall normally used at construction areas sounded like some big mawas came knocking at it. Freak isn't the word, the weathers going to great extremes to sort of balance out all the freaky stuff that we've been throwing into nature i guess. But the sounds that were made and the amount of rain that fell today... phew!

On a different note, Arsenal made it to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League tournament after holding off the mighty Galactico team from Spain, Real Madrid to a 0 - 0 score at home. They qualified on the away goal rule and aggregate of 1 - 0 . Saw some stats earlier on the telly and it's been like 30 years since the last team managed to hold Real Madrid to a scoreless draw over the two legs. Congrats to the team....hope you keep up this good run of form and keep going great guns dudes!

Here's another picture I'd like to upload for the heck of it. It was taken during the time I had training and had to take the LRT to Wisma Denmark. Malaysians can queue up people....we really can. Have a nice day and goodnight world!

Back again one more time please!

If life is like a box of chocolates. I've found the fountain of youth!

Wassup yo!! The owner of this blog and it's contents to a certain extent is back to blogging. It's been a very long time indeed so there should be a lot to write? I don't know. I'm already bushed from work as it is.

Lots of new things have happened over the start of this year. A big change took place over Christmas, lost something good, got something good. Was pushed and cajoled to finish something which thankfully I finally did, and I'm now currently working! yay!! I'm back home again and funnily enough, it actually took some time to get used to it. I mean, I have been coming back over the weekends but staying at home did take some getting used to and I'm glad that I did.

I've had some plans to improve the rooms layout and all I've done so far is modify it's feng shui a little by getting a little red rug. A rug so small that my pet dog (and this fella is really small) could fit on it, play with it and maybe even tear it apart if she wanted to. (She = my dog). I saw a big eyeball and thought of getting my room all Ikea-ish but Kedai Perabot Ah Seng from my dear old Old Klang Road will have to do for now.

Work is interesting, and that's just to say the least. The telco company that I work for was recently in the news for something pretty important in the general publics eye. Some decisions didn't fall our way so we'll have to go back to the war room and think this one through again. Hey big dudes in there, I heard Sun Tzu's got an art to tackling these kinda situations so please let's do something about it together ya ;)

Friends, they've been great as usual. I'm spending more time on my social work now. Lots of friends everywhere and sometimes I feel like there's not enough time to spend with them. Definitely got to improve this situation.

So now I've been given some new gadgets to use so hopefully I'll be aroud this blog more. Not that I have a regular group of fans but who knows, I just might make a start out of it.

Ok, I'm off to do my promised 15 minutes with the big guy. Making commitments and trying your darndest to stick to them is an interesting challenge. Take it up and do it everyone, you might be surprised to find out just how committed you can be. So enough of having my thoughts drift here, there and everywhere else but on a straight topic. Till tomorrow, I'll tell you about my swimming excursion to le pool de Mat su Shita.

Goodnight world

A Long Post For All This Time

Hi there, how have you all been? Anyone still reading this blog? Hehehe...it's been awhile hasn't it but if you notice, it's been keeping with my regular trend as far as blogging is concerned!

Life has been good. I just finished my work completion seminar (a requisite to gradute which I fully intend to do in a couple of months time). How ironic, I'm listening to U2's - Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of. But though I may feel stuck, it's just me getting all lazy again.

Cousins wedding went really well. I didn't know how much running around was required till I did it and man was it good to have my family, all my cousins and uncles to help around. Got to drive a Benz 230E which handled like a dream and probably got my stocks up as far as stud pricing is concerned but I don't think I saw anyone whom I recognized ;)

Went down to catch an amazing natural wonder known as the firefly. Amazing little fellas who just keep lighting up here and there only at a "Pokok Berambang" or something. Anyone wanna go check it out? I went to Bukit Belimbing which was great and it's 1.5 hours drive from KL. (Thought of putting "only" before the 1.5 but thought against it as I was dead tired from driving back). Go with a great bunch of people and it'll be an amazing experience, or a truely romantic one if you've got your special someone by your side. I was accompanied by my cute little nephew who readily ditched me after whispering sweet nothings (actually, it was all fai-fly and torchlight but when the nights up and the lights aren't, just play along la ;)) to go sit with his dad.

So work is set, family set, things in the social work circle - set, social life -set. life is good. Take care people, I'll write again sometime...till then I'll be chewing on my orange flavoured tic-tacs. Tata

Is it already February?

Things have been happening and moving as it normally would I guess. But I think I took everything at a slower speed and hence it all feels so quick! Apa dah jadi ni?
To summarize it, I just got a role that requires me to be a heck of a lot more responsible and caring too. Actually I'm looking forward to it's many challenges though, I mean, it's all a learning experience right. Just the fear that I might do the wrong thing and end up screwing things up has gotten me down from time to time. But what the heck, I've bounced up before, shall just do it again.
And then, I got into reading some self help books from Mr. Tony Buzan. The guru of mind mapping and the like. Read just a bit of his books, and I tend to agree with him on some stuff. Not that I disagree with the other parts....just that I've not gotten to it yet ;)
And another thing....there's this lady supervisor at another uni where I'm supposed to be involved in a project. Apparently she's left her workplace for good and is working somewhere else now. Now this really puts the monkey wrench in all the plans cause she was the person in charge of the lab and now she isn't. The other people around who most probably would have to take it up, as far as I know, have other projects to mind as well. So what happens to this one? Sinking ship in need of tremendous bailing or just a strong ship going through some stormy weather? In either case...will just have to use the good old tactic of wait-and-see.

Thaipusam

Hi everyone, looks like Thaipusam has just finished and what a celebration it was. This time my friends and I went to ye good olde Batu Caves (translated to Batu Malai in Tamil) after finding out that we did not have the necessary leaves nor cash to make the trip up to Penang. And when going with my friends, we only go at night so that we can escape the heat and see some beautiful (and some downright dahsyat) kavadi's. Man....almost forgot what kind of crowd to expect.

Went there by bus, got down somewhere near an industrial zone nearby and made the short walk in. Another friend got his head tonsured and once he was done, onwards to the caves! But what a walk it was. I think the crowd was numbering into a few hundred thousands when we were there and it took a long time just to pass through the main gates. Then took some more time to get up, do our prayers, take a breather and walk back down again. I'm skipping out a lot on the details cause... just cause la ;) Had something to eat, onwards to the bus and on the way back to KL city before the nice folks who work at the Sultan Abdul Samad building have a chance to come to park their cars for work.

I guess the thrill of Thaipusam is always in getting to see the kavadi's and seeing some people get into the trance before carrying the kavadi's or performing their penances. This time round, just the crowd and the unpredictable time of when we would go in and come back out was playing in my mind too much so I asked my friends to cabut early. Sorry guys, maybe next year la ya.

If you want to read about Thaipusam, there's something both here and here. no pictures this time round but just trust me, there were so many people there like you could not even imagine. But with the crowd and the way things were handled, I really miss going to Penang now.

Lazy days again?

Lazy la...feeling it again. Been feeling it throughout this whole month so far. I know it's a bad habit to cultivate but the thing is it's so bloody easy to do so! Ah, an ultimate excuse for being lazy. Anyone else have a better one?

While waiting for some equipment to warm up, I've decided to add a few jottings into my blog. This has got to be a record entry/month ever since I started blogging. Anyway, yesterday was by far the most happening day for me at Dengkil for awhile. Went to dinner with one friend till abou 10ish, got a call from another friend at 10 to join him and another gang of friends while they had their dinner at 10.30 and another friend dropped by to stay over for the night so we were up talking till about 3.30. What a night....most happening in a long time indeed!

Happening day ain't it?

What about the day today? Just as my friends and I were undergoing some training, the power shuts off! In my working place, this does occur rather often unfortunately so we place a call to the relevant division. I got a chance to talk to him but it seems that one too many people have already given their piece of mind to him so understandably, he wasn't too happy to hear more. Another friend wanted to let him know about how one of the power related box was going up in smoke but I think many people have already poured out just how important that the power must get back on ASAP! Sometimes it's amazing that when we're in trouble, we only think about how big or how important our situation is without giving even a tiny bit of consideration for the person who we are complaining to. To the big man in charge, sorry about the pressure and thank you so much for your prompt investigation and for sorting it out as quickly as you did. Cheerios mate!

Before we can sit back and say hey, it's just the office that's effected, I read this on the newspapers online. Aiyaiyai!!! But here's what you're supposed to do whenever a blackout occurs so always be mindful of this advice. It's getting late, my eyes are watering. Need to look away from the pc screen but I can't help it.......it's sooooo beautiful ;)

Tried to get the picture of the fried flies but I couldn't find it
