What happened yesterday

This was defnitely a very memorable day indeed. Started off with helping my colleagues to carry up a new piece of equipment that we've bought. A milling tool that will allow us to make all sorts of stuff. Anything from screws (don't be naughty!) to precision wells in acryllic with an individual touch. Personally, I prefer the term custom made! Once I got that out of the way, I was feeling so damn lazy once again so I was doing what I seem to be getting quite good at doing nowadays ...lengah-lenguk a.k.a. wasting time effortlessly.

Lunch, and managed to get my links part up. Not a difficult thing to do but you know, the fear of having to programme anything still is in there. Well at least now I can tear this page up at home and don't have to think too much about it ;) Zip zap and then...back in the mailing list with my friends from school. Which is a good thing but I'm never sure when my server's acting up at all. So people, just don't forget me ya! Oh, and thanks to Kavi, we machan's have a new maling list of our own. Rules that have been setup so far are :-
1) Don't use it as another form of instant messaging.
2) Don't put unsolicited material (read as p@rn) on it. Offices have a policy against that.

Saw Shrek 2 this evening. It was a fantastic movie that really left me in stitches! Donkey was back at his non-stop-talking best with the cutest of friends with a Spanish accent in the form of the deadly assassin Puss in Boots. (Hey, assassin is quite close to ass don't you think?) Not going to review the movie here but just want to let you all know that there are many things to be learnt here. For instance, how to make mutant babies, Pinnochio's real secret, Larry King makes a very interesting "lady" and rescue teams headed by blind mice will defintely leave you rolling on the floor! For my two cents, this movie is a definite must see for all. But try not to bring the kids around. Kinda hard explaining what a gender biased wolf is doing in his pink nightgown ;)

Donkey, Shrek's noble steed!

The Day After Yesterday!

SLEEP! Now somehow with the weather the way it is, I just can't seem to knock off so easily anymore. Coming to work with the greatest desire to hit the sack ain't exactly the most productive way to do anything but I think I should be able to push myself out of this rut....if only I get a nap soon ;)

Watched a series entitled "Dead Like Me" last night...two episodes to be exact. With a superbly sarcastic and pessimistic 18 year old girl (who can be quite cute mind you!) as the main protagonist and with the story revolving around the work of Grim Reapers, I'd say they've got a recipe for success!! But seriously, it's a brilliant show with a nice concept. Hope it runs for a long time.

Woke up this morning to hear the news that the all underdog final of the European Champions League Football Cup was lifted by Porto!!! Fantastic show from them I guess...I didn't watch it cause I was busy trying to go to bed. A 3-0 score definitely shows some class from the Portugese, who've not won this cup in something like 30 or more years. But what really dissed me off is the fact that all the articles available from the so called neutral parties are about their boss Jose Mourinho leaving the club to join Red Rom's Red Army formally known as Chelsea (it's Chelski now as far as I'm concerned!). Give the players a break people! They just won the premier cup of club football in Europe and all they can talk about is the move. Talk about perspective. I feel for all you Porto fans out there...I really do.

Next up....how the heck do I put links here la!!! I want to link to all the people I know. Anyone wanna help? ;)

The first of many posts....I hope ;)

Greetings to all and to all a fantastic day just went by for you I hope. It really took awhile for me to get into this blogging thingy. Hope to be here for a long long while. Thanks for dropping by!

Ayitha Ezhuthu....fabulous!

Mails have been a bit slow today. Just got to see an absolute delight of a tamil movie entitled "Aitha Ezhuthu" last night with the machan's. Man was that a different movie or what. If there's one thing to be said about a Maniratnam movie, it is that the man has this uncanny ability to make any movie seem so real and lifelike....there's almost no fantasy in it. Could be strange for regular tamil filmgoers who are used to the standard movie breaking into song at regular/irregular intervals but I found it a thouroughly refreshing change from the usual masala bits here and there.
