Ammale Ganja!

I just checked the last time that I posted something here....that was early in the month! Man....the month is about to finish and these past few days have really been an eye opener for me.

Firstly, I just finished working on something at work....which took up a bit of my sleep. Not to mention that my friend passed me a couple of Visionaries CD's which took up the rest of the sleeping time! Had to catch up on some lost childhood memories cause I cannot remember that cartoon for the life of me. Oh well, I've completed one episode, just another 13 or so to go ;)If you don't recall or have never heard of it, check out what this cartoon is all about here

The Visionaries...a vision or a kids fantasy?

And when I finally wanted to go to bed, my housemate's alarm went off...signalling the kick off of what must have been one of the most unbelivable comebacks for a footie game. It's the Euro season for the year 2004. The Nederlands, Germans, Czech and Latvians were placed together in what was known as the "Group of Death".

The Czechs became the first team in the whole tournament to win all group matches. But the audacity in their last win was that the coach rested 9 members of his first team and still managed to whoop some Germans out of shape! Pity the Germans though. They are a good team, but as one commentator mentioned, "...if they can't beat the Czech team B, they've no business in the next round", or something like that.

The Dutch needed to win and had to hope that the Germans draw or lose (which they eventually did!). On fire was Nistelrooy, who is a very good finisher with a knack for finding space and placing himself in all kinds of places. He scored a couple before his sub, Roy Makaay came in to finish the job and the Latvians were sent packing too. Oh well, I always fancy the Dutch. They play fantastic football and I hope they can keep it up against a Swedish team I hear that plays marvelously too.

About the title....well, it's a chant of some sort. Learnt it from my macha's here. If things are looking pretty bad and you're not too sure what to do, this ought to do the trick ;) Till the next time, ammale ganja!

Come on Titi, kick some footie!

Vole!!

GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!??

I've been working on some fiber!

The day started out well. With all the semangat to carry on to finish my work. And I'm proud to say that I did manage it....yahooo!!! Only thing is, I wanted to finish earlier so that I could continue with some more work. Energy has dropped by a very large sum suddenly. All I can think about now is a good good rest! But the good thing is, work is done. Proud to have pushed through to finish it. Now for a bit about the play ;)

Been involved in getting the play for our center ready for this coming anniversary celebration to be held in the lion city a.k.a. Singapore! Looking back at it all, man, I don't know how I was that confident to take up the challenge. I mean, I liko going up on stage and everything. But this time I am to steer the ship, be the Captain. A nice challenge to work with so many people. It really thought me a lot of things, especially about how sporting people really are. Haih, I wonder how many times I've lost out on having fun with people just because of my preconceived ideas.

I wanna just float a bit

Now today is going to be the last practice for the play. The crew and I....man, I nearly forgot to thank them. Couldn't have done it without you guys. It was a fantastic experience and I'd do it all over again just for the fun and experience ;) Got to go round up some energy to boost everyone. And then get boosted myself..hehehe ;)

On Masculinity and Potty Training!

The weekend has come and gone. Man, was it full of activities for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend for this though. Sometimes I'd like nothing more than to lay in bed a little longer for that extra half hour. To pretend I don't hear my father calling me to lift my lazy self off the bed. But this was a weekend that was begging for action...and that's what I got!

Had a fantastic discussion that served as a wake up call of sorts. What does it mean to be a man? Have men really lost their iron will and determination that was the main identifiable trait of great man past? I'm still unsure, but I truly want to learn. And I guess the best thing to do will be to look and study myself, so to speak.

I am man, hear me roar?

A deplorable state of events have taken place at my workplace/uni. Ironically, not only are guys masculinity being questioned, I for one want to know if all the guys in my place know how to use the toilet facilities here. One stall in the toilet has been banned from usage for a long time (I'm never using it ever again!) thanks to some smart guys who's used it in the worst possible way. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU KID???
Should come over there and hit you on the head with a toilet brush!

Babes....the world is full of them!

Ever wondered where all the pretty girls go to?? I did, and I found quite a number of them actually. The recently concluded Miss Universe beauty pageant brought quite a number of these girls out! Kudos to the new winner and hope this year is a fantastic one for ya Miss Aussie mate! But personally, I think she can't compare to the fantastic lady whose photo I've posted below. SHE DA BOMB!

Jennifer Hawkins, Miss Universe 2004

Amelia Vega, Miss Universe 2003 a.k.a Da Bomb!

Phew, now that my hormones are in a bit of a raging mood, let me bring things back down to earth a bit for now. Remember the last blog about the scare of brain drain. Well, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi came up with a solution for the time being. Basically, he increased the ratio of lecturers to students from 1:4 to 1:6. I'm no medical student but I hope this is a good way to go. You can read a bit about it here.

On a personal note, got myself a pair of puppies. Hush Pups actually....Zero G. Went to Putrajaya with my housies and got me a pair and I'm wearing them on now. Man...they do feel so light! And because their a few seasons behind...got them for cheap as well. Not much choices at the place, but definitely worth the money!

And since my hormones were raging yesterday, got myself a whole collection of babe photos from the Miss Universe competition. Think I'll put one up for the heck of it. Also just to keep my dear visitors happy!! ;)

Tuesday and Onwards!

It's great to be back again! After a while of fooling around with the tables for the previous entry, I'm beginning to relearn some of my HTML. Which is a good thing..hopefully I'll experiment more on this blog.

Back to more important matters. My father's birthday was yesterday! Happy 61st Appa! Can't imagine it's been 61 years already. The other day I was looking over some old photo's and new ones as well. My father still looks the same, although his moustache has grown a bit more grey now. What can I say about him? Maybe not in this blog ya....those thoughts are definitely more private then any that I can imagine now ;)

Just put up some new links to my friends blogs as well so do check them out if you're free. I just recovered from a bout of ultra runny nose. You know, with the rate that I get thise runny nose....I should be able to represent my country in the Marathon of all runny noses! Man, did I ever sneeze yesterday. Was sneezing so hard that I took a raincheck on my plan to get me some shoes. Didn't think it would be so wise to release my phlegm onto the attendant at the shop while I was trying my shoes. Such a thoughtful soul I am!

On a more serious note, read the headlines in the local news today, the Prime Minister says that he has thought of a solution for the problem of top scorers not getting into universities locally. My thoughts on the matter....there is no way at all that you can put two dissimilar examinations and rate them one the same scale. How ridiculous does putting a form 6 exam (which is noted to be one of the toughest exams in the world) with some matriculation examination which, from what I hear is so bloody easy, on the same marking scale sound like? You be the judge? For all the governments efforts to increase racial unity and promote a love for our country, this matter on education seems to have taken the whole country back by a few steps. Please do something constructive to avoid having a bunch of Malaysian's who are smart and capable, but lack respect for the country because of this issue. Hope they come up with some sort of standard public university examination. At least let the playing field be level...what more can we ask for?

Arsenal - Fantastic Unbeaten Champions of EPL 2003/04

This is just to test out exactly how to put photo's onto my blog here. Looks pretty simple so far. Anyway, for those who happened across this blog, what you see here is the new home and away jersey for Arsenal FC next season. I think all teams who have their jerseys sponsored by Nike will be going for this new look. Personally, I preferred the badge at the left hand side of the jersey. But what the heck, a rose by any other name is still a rose @}--. Hope they can maintain their good form next season
